Lucknow: Two cadets from the 64 UP Battalion NCC have been selected to participate in the prestigious Team Building & Leadership Adventure Camp being organised under the aegis of the National Cadet Corps at Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM), Uttarkashi.
The adventure and leadership camp commenced on May 7 and will continue until May 16, 2026. The programme aims to instill courage, discipline, leadership qualities, and team spirit among NCC cadets through rigorous outdoor and adventure-based training activities.
The selected cadets from Lucknow University are Nitish Barnwal and Paranjali Srivastava. Their selection for the national-level training programme is being seen as a matter of pride for the university and the NCC unit.
During the camp, cadets will undergo intensive training in activities such as rock climbing, river crossing, first aid, and various team-building and leadership exercises. The programme is designed to enhance self-confidence, coordination skills, decision-making abilities, and the capability to perform effectively under challenging circumstances.

Prof. Jai Prakash Saini extended his best wishes to the selected cadets and expressed confidence that they would perform exceptionally well and bring recognition to both the university and the NCC battalion.
Lt. (Dr.) Rajneesh Kumar Yadav, along with other officers and instructors, also congratulated the cadets and encouraged them to make the most of the opportunity by demonstrating leadership, discipline, and teamwork during the camp.
The selection reflects the growing participation and excellence of Lucknow University cadets in national-level NCC training programmes and adventure activities.
